Geneseo, NY- Recently the New York State Department of State mandated all counties to develop a plan for shared services. Livingston County is pleased to announce that the Shared Services Plan for Livingston County has been completed and submitted to the State. A panel, chaired by County Administrator Ian M. Coyle and made up of the Town Supervisors and Village Mayors, developed the plan which proposes various partnerships between different public entities within the County.
On September 11, 2017, County Administrator Coyle conducted three (3) public hearings regarding the draft proposed Livingston County Shared Services Plan. These hearings were held in the Village of Dansville, the Village of Mount Morris and the Village of Geneseo in order to afford access to a wide range of community members. A total of five (5) people attended the public hearings.
After closing the third and final public hearing in Geneseo on 09/11/17 at approximately 2:35 PM, the Shared Services Panel members present voted unanimously to approve the plan. The plan incorporates two years and anticipates savings and cost-avoidance measures of over $350,000.
