Emergency Alert Response System (EARS):
This is a 24 hour/day monitoring service to get help to those sixty and over in the case of accident or illness. Elderly living alone who are handicapped and/ or suffer from chronic illness would benefit from this service. This service is sponsored by Livingston County Office for the Aging and Noyes Memorial Hospital. Expanded In Home Services to the Elderly (EISEP):
EISEP is designed to provide non-medical services to those sixty and over to remain independent in their own homes as long as it is safely possible. In-home aide service provides homemaker/personal care or housekeeper chore services. A case manager will determine needed services through an assessment of client needs, develop a care plan and coordinate, adjust, and monitor the in home aide service. EISEP is a cost sharing program. Each client receives a complete financial assessment that will determine the sliding scale fee for aide service only. There is no charge for the assessment or case management services.
