Congregate Senior Nutrition Program: The Livingston County Senior Nutrition Program offers a hot noon time meal from a menu that is approved by a Registered Dietitian. Each meal provides at least one-third recommended daily allowance (R.D.A.) for nutrition. Congregate dining sites are designed to accommodate the needs of those persons sixty and older that desire a hot nutritious meal, fellowship, informative as well as social activities. To be eligible to attend a a senior nutrition program site in the county an individual must be sixty years of age or older or the spouse of a participant sixty years of age or older. Transportation is provided to and from the nutrition sites by calling the Livingston County Office for the Aging at (585) 243 - 7520 or any of our toll-free numbers. A contribution is suggested for all meals. No one is denied a meal because of inability to donate. All voluntary contributions for meals are treated confidentially and are used to support the program.

Home Delivered Meals: The Home Delivered Meal Program delivers a hot nutritious meal Monday through Friday to homebound individuals sixty and over who, by reason of incapacitating illness and/or disability, cannot prepare meals or attend a congregate meal site. Eligibility is determined through assessment. A contribution is suggested for all meals. No one is denied a meal because of inability to donate. All voluntary contributions for meals are treated confidentially and are used to support the program.

Nutrition Education and Counseling: A registered dietitian is available for consultation and assistance with special diet problems, restrictions or nutrition-related inquiries. This service is available to all residents of Livingston County and their caregivers; including congregate and home delivered meal participants. Informative nutrition education programs are presented at the congregate senior nutrition sites. Participants of the home delivered meal program also receive written nutrition education materials.

Transportation Services: Livingston County Office for the Aging provides transportation service to and from the Senior Nutrition Sites. Persons sixty and older are not charged a fare. There is a suggested voluntary contribution per one way trip for this service. To arrange transportation to a nutrition site call:
